Code of Conduct

The Bridge is committed to providing education, mentoring, and training in a friendly, caring, and safe space for all participants. This Code of Conduct is designed to provide expectations for appropriate conduct and behavior at all Bridge functions and events, and when interacting with persons directly connected to The Bridge.

All participants will abide by these general standards: (The Big Six)

1. Participants will act honestly and ethically while at all Bridge events and while interacting with others.

2. Participants will treat all other participants and leaders with respect, courtesy, and dignity.

3. Participants will be respectful of ethnic and cultural differences.

4. Participants will not harass, bully, or mistreat (including fighting) anyone before, during, or after a Bridge event.

5. Participants will follow The Bridge’s guidelines for participant entry and exit (see below) to all events and will obey all applicable local, state, and federal laws while at Bridge functions/events.

6. Participants will report violations, or suspected violations of the Code of Conduct by others, as soon as possible. Report to the Program Director, Bridge Volunteer staff, or via email at thebridge@954church.com.

Attendance (Entry & Exit Policy)

Signing in and out of Thriving Thursday sessions is mandatory to ensure the safety of all participants. In addition, multiple entries on the same day (repeat in and out) is not permitted. Once signed in students are required to remain at each session for the duration of the workshop. If a student needs to leave early, they may do so with parental approval (by phone or in person). Students must also enter and exit through the main door only. Use of back door/emergency exits during a non-emergency is strictly prohibited.
