Our story.

At the start of 2020, The Bridge began simply as an idea to create education, mentorship, and career exploration opportunities for the youth of our Broward County community. The Bridge started as a ministry of Riverside Church which exists to connect today’s youth to a thriving future. Ultimately, Riverside Church was hoping to be advocates for the next generation as they discovered all that God created them to be and learned how that connects to their academic, career, and life goals.

In February 2022 The Bridge was officially launched as an outreach program of Riverside Church. The Bridge focuses on addressing barriers to success by providing teenagers and their parents with resources and information essential to teens becoming thriving members of the community. The Bridge promotes mentoring, career exploration, higher education, and economic mobility, empowering our youth to see beyond current situations or hurdles, to a thriving future. It’s a place where participants learn, get a sense of belonging, cultivate friendships, and are nurtured. They are also challenged to step out of their comfort zone, stretch themselves, and grow.

    With so many post high school education opportunities, it can be hard to know which one is the right fit. The Bridge is committed to helping students navigate their educational options so that they feel prepared and ready to succeed for life after high school.

  • Career exploration.

    Exposure to potential career options is key for students to discover what they are passionate about. Through our programs, The Bridge supports students through this journey and helps them determine a path towards achieving their goals.

  • Personal development.

    Creating opportunities for learning and growth is an important aspect to a student’s development. By investing in their capacities to succeed, The Bridge hopes to inspire confidence among students to see their God-given potential and achieve their life goals.
